Whirlwind Communications is a Texas based firm devoted to providing individuals, businesses and organizations with insightful communications strategies. It has successfully promoted a number of events including the annual National Get Over Your Love Hangover Conference and the Annual Do the Write Thing Writing Workshop. The Do the Write Thing Writing Workshop is part of the activities of the National Get Over Your Love Hangover Week and Conference which was founded by author Shewanda Riley in 2001. It is held annually the 3rd week of June and is designed to provide practical tools for building and maintaining strong relationships. Both the conference and book have been featured in JET Magazine. The book, Love Hangover, is also an Essence Magazine best-seller. In 2007, Riley founded The Do the Write Thing Writing Workshop, a writing workshop that promotes the gift of communicating through writing.
